I like this medium. with the black on black, very sybtle an makes you look closer. at the same time with this blk on blk I would like to see more definition, I think the forms read better on a white background when its this abstract. With the blk/blk version it becomes less direct. maybe this is a positive thing. I am wondering what your intentions were? something to try on this blk/blk is maybe try texture-like dup a spong in the paint an use this to dab the canvas for the mesh, dunno but subtle details like this, not going to far as to make it identical/ photographic but just a lil more detail.
I like the graphic direction, again what I sai earlier, I think these forms an paintings are stronger-bolder- more unique.
Heyday is a design-driven brand focused on combining disparate creative elements to form an entirely new style. Heyday traces its roots to the wedge-soled workboot made popular by Tokyo's elite trendsetters and part of the classic American workingman's uniform. Combining workboot elements with athletic influences and attention to detail results in the brands fresh approach.
Heyday has been featured on VH1, Thrillist, Trendmill, High Snobiety, Product Dose, Josh Spear, and Freshness.
Heyday was founded in 2006 by Boston-based footwear designer Darin Hager and has worked with a diverse group of brands, including Puma, and Sperry Top-Sider. Like most designers, Darin had always dreamed of having his own brand to showcase his own designs, undiluted by corporate design committees. Recognizing a void in the current retail environment for unique design concepts, Heyday aims to cater to the niche of people looking to wear thoughtfully designed footwear with an original point of view.
